OCdt Amy Lambert is a medical bursar in her 2nd year as an Army doctor. She is currently based at RMA Sandhurst working at Frimley Park Hospital. She commissioned with the Reserves in 2015 before setting her sights on a career with the Regular Army.

Amy has been riding since the age of 3 and has been fortunate to own and compete a number of wonderful horses. She has been involved with Army Riding since 2013, representing the AMS at Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2014 and 2015. She has also ridden on the Army Team and was the overall seniors winner at the Royal Tournament 2015. Her most notable achievement was winning at Olympia on Elvis in 2015 - just before sitting her medical school finals!

Amy’s current horses include Oggy (Underdog) and Elvis (Chequers Play the Game).

Elvis is Amy’s own horse who she bought and produced from a youngster. She evented him up to intermediate level and show jumped up to foxhunters. He is now ridden by the Italian Olympic Event rider, Vittoria Panizzon. Last year he won at Tattersalls CCI 3* and was part of the Italian bronze medal winning European Championship team. We hope that this year his successes continue.

Oggy is Amy’s Army Team horse this year. He is a 16’2 Chestnut Gelding who’s original discipline was dressage when owned by the international dressage rider, Kay Maxted. He is now owned by Emily Chalkley however Emily and Amy share the ride. Between them they have put in a lot of time and effort into progressing his jumping confidence and ability and so being selected for the Army Senior Team has been a real achievement.

It is with much excitement that Amy and Oggy look forward to contributing to the well-established Army  team and endeavour to strive for successes in the coming season.
